RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF THE MUHC
The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal, Quebec, the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. The RI-MUHC is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Santé (FRQS).

Position summary
The program aims to recruit 4,000 participants, men and women aged 35-79 years who are either healthy, at risk, or who have known cardiovascular disease. The program provides the technical and logistical infrastructure for collecting and maintaining biospecimens and the data and associated information derived from biological materials such as blood, body fluids, tissue samples, genomic data, microbiomic data, digital health data, and imaging studies. https://cvsignature.ca

General Duties

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Data quality checks in OpenClinica,
• Case Report Forms (creating, updating, scheduling and closing),
• Data curation for research – data cleaning and preparing datasets for researchers,
• Troubleshooting with OpenClinica’s support team (as needed),
• Operating Mailchimp to contact study participants,
• Preparing participant call lists for administrative staff,
• Data documentation,
• AWS management (Glue, Lambda, Quicksight) (edits on demand),
• Data processing & analysis for digital devices used in the study (e.g., smartwatches).

In this position, with one of the most active and ambitious research teams in Cardiology, we're looking for an organized and motivated data manager. You'll have the opportunity to publish research findings, collaborate closely with skilled clinicians and scientists, and build new connections with research institutes around the world.

Education / Experience

Education: Master's Degree
Field of Study: Life Sciences (clinical research experience preferred)
Skills: R programming language
Other education considered an asset for this position:
Work Experience:
• Strong statistical skills to assist with data collection, curation, and reporting,
• Knowledge of other programming languages like SQL, Oracle, MATLAB, and Python an asset,
• Technical proficiency regarding database design development, data models, techniques for data mining, and segmentation,
• Experience in handling reporting packages like Business Objects, programming (Javascript, XML, or ETL frameworks), databases,
• Proficiency in statistics and statistical packages like Excel, SPSS, SAS to be used for analysis,
• Adept at queries, writing reports, and making presentations,
• Proven working experience in data analysis.

Additional information

Status: Temporary Full-Time (35-hour workweek)
Pay Scale: Commensurate with education & work experience. $48,503.00-$90,090.00.
Work Shift: Monday to Friday (08:00 – 16:00)
