Job Description

RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF THE MUHC
The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal, Quebec, the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. The RI-MUHC is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Santé (FRQS).

Position summary
Full-time Clinical research nurse, preferably with pharma research experience, needed for friendly, team-oriented vaccine research in Pierrefonds.


General Duties
• Recruit, consent, and enroll research participants,
• Vaccinate participants,
• Follow-up and assess participants for adverse events, health issues, etc.
• Data entry,
• Monitor research charts for accuracy,
• Stay updated on vaccines and all study protocols, drugs, manuals.

Education / Experience

Education: Licensed Practical Nurse, or Nursing Diploma of College Studies (DEC), or Bachelor degree in Nursing

Work Experience: At least 2 years on medical ward (adult or pediatric), blood drawing

Professional Membership: ☒ Yes ☐ No

Required Skills

• Excellent French and English, spoken and written,
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills,
• Ability to collaborate with a team
• 2 years experience in pharmaceutical research as a study coordinator/nurse
• Must be detail-oriented
• Knowledge of Word, Excel, online platforms used in research (eg. Medidata, Inform, Dacima, IVRS platforms, …) an asset
• Knowledge of programming RedCap an asset
• Knowledge of vaccines an asset
• Interested in vaccines and vaccine-preventable diseases

Additional information

Status: Temporary, full time
Pay Scale: LPN or DEC : $43,316.00 - $80,425.80
BAC: $54,327.00 - $100,882.60
Commensurate with education and experience
Work Shift: Mondays to Fridays, rare evenings and weekends (as the studies require)
Work Site: MUHC Vaccine Study Centre in Pierrefonds
